Other Site Characteristics
Le littoral de ce site est constitué pratiquement partout d'une côte rocheuse fortement découpée se prologeant en mer par des caps et des pointes, mais aussi des îlots et des récifs.
Cette côte est parfois interrompue par des plages de sable ou de galets. En plusieurs points du littoral le relirf est aplati, constituant une plate-forme littorale.
A l'exception de quelques rares placages de roches sédimentaires, la roche dominante est le granite. Cette dernière a été travaillée de différentes manières par l'érosion qui a façonné le paysage que nous pouvons observer aujord'hui.
Les risques d'incendies sont importants avec ses conséquences dramatiques qui se porteraient sur la population de tortues et les mattorals, mais aussi toute la faune des reptiles. |
4.2 Quality and importance
Le site de Campomoro-Senetosa s'étire sur près de 24 km de côtes protégées sauvages.Il abrite plusieurs habitats naturels naturels et espèces animales mentionnées aux annexes I et II de la directive Habitats. On y trouve entre autres la Tortue d'Hermann, des mares temporaires méditerranéennes (habitat prioritaire) et des mathorals à Genévrier de phénicie très étendues (plus de 500 ha).
Dans la vallée de Conca, la Tortue d'Hermann trouve des conditions favorables à son développement. La frange littorale et les mattorals à Genévrier sont dans un état de conservation remarquables. Les chênaies vertes sont assez étendues.
L'habitat ''forêt à olea et cératonia'' du littoral corse est présent mais couvre actuellment de faibles étendues (résultat de transformations ).
L'habitat littoral de falaises avec végétation des côtes méditerranéennes est très étendu compte tenu de la morphologie du littoral et du linéaire concerné. |

Du personnel est affecté sur la zone pour l'entretien. Des contrats de gestion sont passés avec des éleveurs pour garder des milieux ouverts. A l'avenir ses mesures vont êter étendues pour favoriser la biodiversité (entre autres la Tortue d'Hermann). |
