Other Site Characteristics

The area is located at the western part of Lesvos island. The vegetation is consisted mainly of phrygana, open oak forests and locally cultivations.

4.2 Quality and importance

It is an important area mainly for breeding raptors and species of open arid areas. It has great importance for seabirds passing or breeding at the area, as well as species of forested areas.
