  • Caves: for habitat types 8310, 8330 (caves) enter the number of caves if estimated surface is not available.
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation)

Other Site Characteristics

River Sava near Hrušćica changes its flow from fast upper to slow lower flow, and it is the only remaining part of the river with well developed gravel islands, bars and shores.

4.2 Quality and importance

- one of only four sites for habitat type 3270 - important site for 91E0, As Galio-Salicetum albae and As Salici-Populateum nigrae - important site for fish species Aspius aspius, Cobitis elongatoides, Eudontomyzon vladykovi, Gymnocephalus schraetser, Romanogobio vladykovi, Zingel streber and Zingel zingel - important site for fish species Cobitis elongata inhabited with up to 45% of total Croatian population - important site for Rutilus virgo inhabited with up to 30% of total Croatian population - the site has very large population of Ophiogomphus cecilia, thus being of great importance for the conservation of this species in Croatia - the site is important for conservation of Unio crassus in the Continental Biogeographical Region
