Other Site Characteristics

In this site the near natural illyrian forests predominate but grasslands also exist. On the slopes the steppic grasslands are characteristic and on plain areas the humid grasslands. The bedrock of the hilly and plain area is loess.

Presence of protected plants with continental and mediterranean distribution and their habitats constitute the main value of the territory. At the non-forested areas the isolated populations of Pulsatilla grandis on the steppic grassland is very valuable.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Fő célkitűzések: A természetes erdőtársulások állandó erdőborítottságának fenntartása, természetkímélő erdőgazdálkodási gyakorlat meghonosítása. Idős faegyedek kímélete, őshonos fafajokból lábon álló és fekvő holt faanyag folyamatos jelenlétének biztosítása. Az inváziós fa- és cserjefajok visszaszorítása (pl. fehér akác, gyalogakác, bálványfa). További célok és célkitűzések: A területen található vizes élőhelyek megőrzése a hozzájuk kötődő közösségi jelentőségű fajok érdekében. A terület jelölő erdőállományaiban a közösségi jelentőségű (Ruscus aculeatus) és az élőhelyre jellemző fajok (Doronicum hungaricum, Lychnis coronaria, Lilium martagon, Ruscus hypoglossum) megőrzése érdekében a fajok ökológiai igényeihez igazodó szerkezeti jellemzők fenntartása, illetve kialakítása, a fészkelő madárfajok esetében (Haliaeetus albicilla, Aquila pomarina, Ciconia nigra) pufferzóna kijelölése. A mezőgazdasági vagy lakó és ipari területekkel érintkező területeken a pufferként funkcionáló szegélyzónák (cserjések, mezsgyék) megőrzése. A területet érintő részletes felmérések elkészítése, kiemelt figyelemmel a terület jelölő és egyéb közösségi jelentőségű fajaira és élőhelyeire. A terület lejtő-sztyeprétjeinek megőrzése, a cserjésedés megelőzése, illetve a cserjeborítás 20% alá szorítása.
