Other Site Characteristics

Along the Koppány-brook are near natural humid and mesophile grasslands with gallery forest patches and willow bushes. On the nearby hillside the forest is a pannonian-balkanic sessile oak-turkey oak forest.

The habitats have very important role in the agricultural landscape.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Fő célkitűzések: A gyepes területek állapotának megőrzése, kíméletes kaszálás és megfelelő vízjárás biztosítása elsősorban az elvezető árkokon történő vízvisszatartás útján. A vizes élőhelyek védelmében a Koppányból történő vízutánpótlás lehetőségének megvizsgálása, intézkedési javaslatok meghatározása. Megfelelő vízállapot fenntartása a vizes élőhelyeken A puhafaliget foltok fenntartása, idős faegyedek megóvása. A gyepes és eredi élőhelyeket veszélyeztető inváziós növényfajok (aranyvessző, gyalogakác, zöld juhar) visszaszorítása. További célok és célkitűzések: A vizes élőhelyek mellett kialakult és erősen degradálódó szegélytársulások természetességének javítása megfelelő kezeléssel (kaszálás, inváziós fajok visszaszorítása). A kis területeken előforduló közösségi jelentőségű erdei élőhelyek (cseres-tölgyesek, gyertyános-tölgyesek) természetességének megőrzése, illetve javítása. A gyepes területeken a túllegeltetés kiküszöbölése. A szántóként művelt területek gyeppé történő átalakítása, különösen a mélyebb fekvésű térszíneken. A területet érintő részletes felmérések elkészítése, kiemelt figyelemmel a terület jelölő és egyéb közösségi jelentőségű fajaira és élőhelyeire.
