Other Site Characteristics

Three patches of predominantly close-to-natural forest habitats on the southern Balaton loess-hill area where good quality forests are really rare. In the stands there are some non-natural plantations, some formed by invasive acacia. Among the forests there exist a few grassland habitats which increase the diversity.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok: A terület fő célkitűzései: A területen élő védett és fokozottan védett fajok által is reprezentált, hazai és közösségi szinten is egyedülálló természetes és természetszerű élőhelyek megőrzése, fenntartása, különös tekintettel a Pannon molyhos tölgyesek Quercus pubescensszel illír gyertyános-tölgyesek, pannon cseres-tölgyesek társulásokra. A védett növény- és állatfajok állományának, egyedszámának, populációi életképességének megőrzése, különös tekintettel a következő fajokra: fekete harkály, békászó sas, tövisszúró gébics, szarvasbogár. További célok és végrehajtandók: A pannon molyhos tölgyes élőhelyek erdőállományát meg kell őrizni. A jelölő erdőtársulás aránya ne csökkenjen, ha lehet növekedjen. A jelölő társulásba sorolható erdők elsődleges rendeltetéseként a természetvédelmi célt kell megadni, a bennük folytatott erdőgazdálkodást mielőbb át kell állítani szálaló módszerre. Esetlegesen szükségessé váló beavatkozások nyomán a felújítás csak a jelölő társulásra jellemző fajokkal történjen. Abiotikus katasztrófák (pl.: tűzkár) elhárítása, illetve a biológiai károsítók elleni fokozott védelem biztosítása mindhárom erdőtársulás esetében. A megjelenő inváziós növényfajok, visszaszorítása, a bálványfa teljes kiirtása szükséges. A cserjeszintek és az erdőszéli cserjés sávok fenntartása kívánatos, a madárfajok fészkelőhelye szempontjából Idős, odvas, valamint álló és fekvő holtfa állomány megtartása a jelölő erdőtársulásokban. Az erdőgazdálkodási munkákat a fészkelő helyek környezetében idő és térbeli korlátozással lehet végezni. A fészkelő helyek teljes zavartalanságát biztosítani kell. Illír gyertyános-tölgyesek, Pannon cseres-tölgyes társulások esetében a Pro Silva erdőgazdálkodási eljárások mielőbbi alkalmazásával kell elérni a folyamatos erdőborítottságot. A leánykökörcsin (Pulsatilla grandis) állományok védelmében biztosítani kell az élőhelyül szolgáló gyepfoltok fennmaradását.
