Kiemelt fontosságú cél a következő fajok/élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása, lehetőség szerinti fejlesztése: Élőhelyek: - Fajok: Halványfoltú küllő (Gobio albipinnatus) Szivárványos ökle (Rhodeus sericeus amarus) Vágó csík (Cobitis taenia) Törpecsík (Sabanejewia arata) Széles durbincs (Gymnocephalus baloni) Erdei szitakötő (Ophiogomphus cecilia) Tompa folyamkagyló (Unio crassus) The site contains the regulated bed of Sebes-Körös river and its active floodplain. The river is small with varied matter in its bed. The bottom is varied from gravel to sand and mud depending on the currnet's speed. The water is relatively clear. The floodplain is narrow, with secondary grasslands with no ecological values.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok és végrehajtandó intézkedések: - Az élet- és vagyonbiztonságot figyelembe véve a meder speciális élőhelytípust jelentő elemeinek (palajok, zátonyok, szakadópartok,) illetve a vízparti zonáció (partél - bokorfüzes - ligeterdő) megőrzése a jelölő fajok élő- és szaporodóhelyének biztosítása céljából. A meder és a parti vegetáció jelenleginél kíméletesebb kezelése-fenntartása (kotrások, vízinövényzet irtásának, parti fák és cserjék eltávolításának stb. visszaszorítása); - A folyószakasznak a jelölő folyóvízi fajok (hal, rovar, puhatestű) ökológiai igényeinek megfelelő állapotban való megőrzése, a folyó, mint élőhely védelme az áramlási viszonyok megváltoztatásával, mederduzzasztással, nagymértékű mederalakításokkal, esetleges jövőbeni kanyarátvágással járó átalakításokkal szemben. - A folyó vízminőségének stabil jó szinten tartása érdekében államközi egyeztetés javasolt az érintett Zöld Hatóságok (Debrecen /TIKÖTEVIFE, Oradea /Ag. Prot. Med. Bihor/ ) együttműködésével Management plan is not available.
