Kiemelt fontosságú cél a következő fajok/élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása, lehetőség szerinti fejlesztése: Élőhelyek: 1530 Pannon szikes sztyeppék és mocsarak 6250 Síksági pannon löszgyepek Fajok: Ürge (Spermophilus citellus) Vöröshasú unka (Bombina bombina) Nagy tűzlepke (Lycaena dispar) Nagy szikibagoly (Gortyna borelii lunata) Originally undischarged salt grassland and marsh patches which situate between loess ridges used as arable land. Rich structure of different salt and loess habitats. Interesting remnants of former salt forest-steppe exist. Important population of Gortyna borelii lunata (which inhabits these forest-steppe remnant tall-herb vegetation). The proximity of a village (pressure by illegal dump-deposites) is also important.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok és végrehajtandó intézkedések: - A gyepek jelenlegi (helyenként a jelenleginél jobb) állapotának fenntartását célzó legeltetési/kaszálási rendszer kidolgozása, különös tekintettel a sziki legelőkre jellemző társulások rövidfüvű állapotának biztosítására, és a kíméletesebb kaszálási- gyepkarbantartási rendszerek honosítására és fenntartására. Kiemelt szerepű a sziki kocsordos rétek megfelelő kezelése; - Bolygatott területek gyomirtó kaszálása, irányított égetése; - A kisebb szemetes gyepfoltok, gödrök hulladékmentesítése; - A legeltetéses földhasználat támogatása a kaszálással szemben; - Az érintett belvízlevezető szerepű csatornák jelenleginél kíméletesebb kezelése-fenntartása (kotrások, vízinövényzet irtásának, parti fák és cserjék eltávolításának stb. visszaszorítása) és természetvédelmi célú vízvisszatartó létesítmények telepítendők; - A konyári községhatárba eső idős tölgyes fenntartása. Az erdőművelést illetően javasolt olyan erdőkezelési módszer bevezetése, mely a folyamatos erdőborítást (tarvágás és teljes talajelőkészítés és tuskózás mellőzése), ugyanakkor idős (részben odvas) faegyedek és holt faanyag kellő arányú meglétét is biztosítja; - Belvízlevető csatornák-árkok wetland típusú szikes élőhelyeket lecsapoló hatásának megszüntetése, mérséklése, lehetőség szerint.
