Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok és végrehajtandó intézkedések: - A gyepek jelenlegi állapotának fenntartását célzó legeltetési/kaszálási rendszer fenntartása. A fő cél a területen mozaikosan található rétek, láprétek és fűzláp foltok fennmaradásának biztosítása; a láprétek cserjésedésének megakadályozása, a kaszálások időpontjának a védendő fajok (vérfű-hangyaboglárka, réti angyalgyökér) életciklusához igazítása; - Inváziós növényfajok (aranyvessző fajok, selyemkóró, amerikai kőris) visszaszorítása, terjedésének megakadályozása; - A területen található nemes nyaras visszagyepesítése, helyén a rét helyreállítása; - Az érintett belvízlevezető szerepű csatornák jelenleginél kíméletesebb kezelése-fenntartása (kotrás, vízi növényzet irtása stb.), rajtuk további záró műtárgyak létesítése a területet drénező hatás mérséklésére.
