Stazione isolata di Scopolia carniolica. Estremo limite occidentale di diffusione di Euphorbia carniolica. Esempi tipici di nardeti e di faggete dell' all. Luzulo-Fagion. Vegetazione caratteristica delle rupi e dei detriti cristallini. Begli esempi di ricolonizzazione di aree pascolate (betulla e Cytisus scoparius). presenza di Carabus olympiae (Locus typicus), di Falkneria camerani, il più minacciato mollusco d'Italia, e di Neoplintus dentimanus, endemico della Val Sessera.
