Other Site Characteristics

La prateria di Posidonia a ponente di Porto Maurizio è la più rigogliosa, forse per la presenza di una consistente falesia rocciosa mentre il limite superiore della prateria regredisce notevolmente davanti all'abitato di S. Lorenzo. Nella porzione di levante del sito, alle maggiori profondità sono presenti affioramenti rocciosi.

4.2 Quality and importance

Il sito è caratterizzato da una prateria a Posidonia, (habitat di interesse prioritario), insediata prevalentemente su "matte" e confinante verso terra con una prateria a Cymodocea. Gli habitat sono parzialmente in buon stato di conservazione.
