Other Site Characteristics

Sono presenti aree di versanti con forme a terrazzo e aree di fondovalle con rii e fossi incassati in versanti ripidi. Ad E del M. Bastia sono presenti affioramenti rocciosi con strutture tettoniche notevoli. I terreni sono riconducibili alla formazione di Montoggio e a quella del M. Antola (argilliti, calacri marnosi, marne argillose in seguenze ritmicamente ripetute). L'area è parzialmente vincolata ex lege 1497/1939 ante L. n° 431/1985.

4.2 Quality and importance

Il sito è caratterizzato da praterie con estese ed abbondanti fioriture di diverse specie di orchidee, habitat considerato di interesse comunitario prioritario. Sono presenti una specie prioritaria ai sensi della direttiva 92/43 CEE, numerosi endemiti, deverse specie protette da direttive/convenzioni internazionali e e specie rare proposte dalla Regione Liguria per linclusione nellallegato II di detta direttiva (Ophrys aureliae).
