Other Site Characteristics
| La zona caratterizzata da spartiacque, valichi, estesi affioramenti rocciosi, strutture a terrazzo, paleofrane e aree lacustri. Sono inoltre presenti numerosi rii e sorgenti. Affiorano a N le argilliti di Giaiette, (argilliti, arenarie, calcareniti) le arenarie del M. Zatta, presso il passo del Bocco troviamo serpentiniti intercalati a basalti. La faggeta e le formazioni a bosso sono di notevole valore. Il sito rientra nel Parco Regionale dell'Aveto L.R. n 50/1989, L.R. 50/19/12/1989 e succ. modifiche. Inoltre per gran parte vincolato con D.D.M.M. 24/4/1985. E' compresa la foresta demaniale regionale: M. Zatta di 98 ha. (boschi ad alto fusto di faggio). |
4.2 Quality and importance
| Comprende almeno tre tipi di habitats di notevole valore: una faggeta evoluta, praterie di crinale talora con significative popolazioni di orchidee e peculiari formazioni a Buxus. Queste ultime, caratterizzate anche da endemiti e da diverse specie vegetali legate in modo pi o meno esclusivo ai substrati ofiolitici, sono state proposte dalla Regione Liguria per l'inclusione nell'All I della direttiva 92/43 CEE, tra gli habitats di interesse comunitario prioritario. Fra gli animali sono da segnalare una specie prioritaria per la 92/43 CEE e numerosi endemiti di rilievo. Diverse sono le specie protette ai sensi di convenzioni/direttive internazionali. |
