45.3 habitat proposto per leccete primitive. Superficie coperta 46%, rappresentatività A, sup.relativa C, grado conservazione A, valutaz.globale A. 41.81 habitat proposto per orno ostrieti termofili. Superficie coperta 5%, rappresentatività C, sup.relativa C, grado conservazione C, valutaz. globale C.

4.2 Quality and importance

Sito estremamente significativo da un punto di vista naturalistico per la grande varietà e buona qualità degli habitat; estremamente importante la presenza di vegetazione di tipo mediterraneo in areale disgiunto con querceti a Quercus ilex. Una ricca componente floristica include le endemiche Daphne reichsteinii e Moehringia bavarica (con areale sud-alpico illirico, specie prevalentemente rupicola) e Daphne petraea inserita nell'allegato 2 della direttiva Habitat. Rappresenta l'estremo occidentale per l'areale di numerose specie a corologia mediterranea nel distretto alpino. Particolare valenza naturalistica assumono le vegetazioni casmofitiche e la vegetazione di forra ricca di elementi laurifilli. La forra di San Michele risulta significativa per l'elevato valore paesaggistico.Nel sito è accertata la presenza di numerosi Chirotteri; il territorio del SIC rappresenta un area ottimale per il foraggiamento grazie alla al Lago di Garda e allambiente di costa. La presenza delle scogliere e delle falesie favorisce le specie di chirotteri che utilizzano come rifugi le fessure tra le rocce o i ripari naturali. In tal senso appaiono importanti i risultati ottenuti tramite le indagini bioacustiche che hanno permesso di monitorare il Molosso di Cestoni (Tadarida teniotis) a conferma del carattere mediterraneo dellarea del Garda.
