E' stata rilevata la presenza di alcuni habitat ritenuti di interesse regionale, di cui si indica il codice CORINE e la percentuale indicativa sul totale della superficie del sito: cod. 41.812 (sup. 4%) , cod. 41.813 (sup. 7%). L'habitat 6210 è da considerarsi prioritario.

4.2 Quality and importance

"Sito molto significativo dal punto di vista naturalistico per la particolare geomorfologia del territorio, trattandosi di un altopiano carsico con grotte, doline, pressochè uniche in Lombardia; rilevante la presenza di una ricca entomofauna specializzata per ambienti di grotta, costituita da numerosi endemismi. Particolarmente significative sono le vegetazioni mesofile presenti all'interno delle doline in cui è ben evidente il fenomeno di inversione termica dal punto di vista vegetazionale. Larea del SIC risulta di elevato interesse sia per lampia diversificazione specifica sia per la presenza di specie di particolare pregio. Le cavità ipogee assumono una maggiore importanza per i chirotteri nella stagione autunno-invernale, in corrispondenza del peridodo degli accoppiamenti e della formazione delle colonie invernali. La zoocenosi a chirotteri assume un' importanza elevata in relazione alla verificata presenza di rinolofo maggiore, vespertilio smarginato, vespertilio maggiore e vespertilio di Blyth."
