Other Site Characteristics

In quest'area il corso del fiume Rienza non risulta regimentato e presenta caratteri di naturalità, formando numerosi piccoli rami laterali. Da diverse sorgenti si sviluppano ruscelli e fossi che attraversano il biotopo, formando anche alcuni stagni.

4.2 Quality and importance

Nella zona si rinviene la tamerice alpina (Myricaria germanica) una specie molto rara in Alto Adige. Nella zona riparia si rinvengono numerose specie di pesci, anfibi, libellule ed uccelli.
