Other Site Characteristics

Ansa orientale del Lago di Levico (Valsugana), con vegetazione a ninfee e canneto; sulle rive del lago è presente qualche lembo di vegetazione delle torbiere di transizione e un bosco paludoso di ontano nero. Sono presenti habitat di particolare interesse non compresi nell'all.I della direttiva 92/43/CEE, in particolare: Alnetea glutinosae (10%), Phragmition (canneti) (10%).

4.2 Quality and importance

Porzione di lago eutrofico con una zonazione della vegetazione completa di tutte le sue componenti, dalle acque del lago fino alle rive; di particolare interesse il "lamineto" e il lembo di bosco paludoso di ontani, ormai scomparso quasi ovunque a causa delle bonifiche e dei dissodamenti. Il sito è inoltre di rilevante importanza per la nidificazione, la sosta e/o lo svernamento di specie di uccelli protette o in forte regresso, e/o a distribuzione localizzata sulle Alpi. Presenza di specie di invertebrati dell'allegato II che indicano l'esistenza di nuclei di latifoglie in buone condizioni di naturalità. Presenza di invertebrati dell'allegato II che indicano buona naturalità delle acque correnti.
