Other Site Characteristics

Ansa occidentale del Lago di Caldonazzo (Valsugana), con un vasto canneto; nello specchio d'acqua è presente qualche gruppo di ninfea gialla. La vegetazione delle rive è formata in prevalenza da prati umidi e ontanete a ontano nero. Sono presenti habitat di particolare interesse non compresi nell'all.I della direttiva 92/43/CEE, in particolare: Phragmition (canneti) (30%).

4.2 Quality and importance

Lembo di vegetazione lacustre, in particolare canneto, in un'ansa di lago eutrofico, a cui fa da cornice un'ontaneta, che però in parte è stata drenata. Il sito è inoltre di rilevante importanza per la nidificazione, la sosta e/o lo svernamento di specie di uccelli protette o in forte regresso, e/o a distribuzione localizzata sulle Alpi. Presenza storica di invertebrati dell'allegato II indicatori di zone umide integre, in forte declino. Presenza di invertebrati dell'allegato II che indicano buona naturalità delle acque correnti.
