Other Site Characteristics

Vasto pianoro presso Tuenno (Val di Non), ora quasi completamente posto a coltura, che ospita una piccola palude residua con prati umidi e canneti; al suo centro si trova uno specchio d'acqua. Sono presenti habitat di particolare interesse non compresi nell'all.I della direttiva 92/43/CEE, in particolare: Magnocaricion (20%), Molinion (acidofilo) (10%), Phragmition (30%).

4.2 Quality and importance

Ultimo residuo delle paludi dei terrazzi fluvio-glaciali del piano montano, con interessanti associazioni vegetali. Il sito è inoltre di rilevante importanza per la nidificazione, la sosta e/o lo svernamento di specie di uccelli protette o in forte regresso, e/o a distribuzione localizzata sulle Alpi. Presenza di invertebrati dell'allegato II che indicano buona naturalità delle acque correnti.
