Other Site Characteristics

Modesto versante boscato-rupestre (calcare) della fascia montana posto lungo la catena che separa la Val di Non e la Valle dell'Adige. Presenti bosco misto e vegetazione erbacea steppica in corrispondenza dei ciglioni rupestri esposti a sud. Habitat 6210 prioritario (stupenda fioritura di orchidee).

4.2 Quality and importance

Due presenze floristiche di rilievo (Saxifraga tombeanensis e Dracocephalum austriacum) giustificano l'istituzione del sito. La naturalità generale dell'area è piuttosto elevata. Essendo scarsa l'accessibilità, il sito presenta scarsa vulnerabilità. I lembi ti prateria steppica sembrano primari e quindi non soggetti al processo di incespugliamento spontaneo.
