Other Site Characteristics

Il sito interessa il versante ovest del Gruppo dei Lessini, che precipita con ripidi valloni e salti di roccia verso la Valle dell'Adige. Presenti boschi di latifoglie in ambiente di forra e aree arido-rupestri. Il substrato è completamente calcareo. Sono presenti habitat di particolare interesse non compresi nell'all.I della direttiva 92/43/CEE: boschi a Tasso - Agrifoglio e Daphne laureola e Taxo - Fagetum (5%); boschi di Tilio - Acerion con Philadelphus; Orno - Osrtyeti (20%).

4.2 Quality and importance

Area poco antropizzata ricca di specie rare. Il sito è di rilevante interesse nazionale e/o provinciale per la presenza e la riproduzione di specie animali in via di estinzione, importanti relitti glaciali, esclusive e/o tipiche delle Alpi. Presenza di xilofagi dell'allegato II indicatori di boschi maturi e integri di latifoglie.
