| Il sito comprende il conoide del Torrente Nure ed è caratterizzato da un esteso greto, in buono stato di conservazione, con relativi ambienti perifluviali. L'habitat 6210 è da considerarsi prioritario. |
4.2 Quality and importance
| L'area del conoide del Torrente Nure assume una rilevanza notevole per la conservazione della biodiversità della pianura e in particolare per diverse specie di uccelli all'interno della fascia planiziale provinciale. In esso sono presenti infatti diversi ambienti (incolti, prati aridi e arbusteti) praticamente scomparsi altrove (salvo in altri conoidi) che consentono la sopravvivenza di diverse specie (sebbene in alcuni casi con poche coppie) rare in pianura e legate agli ambienti aperti e agli incolti quali il succiacapre, la calandrella, l'occhione e l'averla piccola e il calandro.
Il sito include ghiareti e praterie aride, e importanti lembi di foresta planiziare. Area rilevante per le specie faunistiche Eptesicus serotinus, Hypsugo savii, Pipistrellus albolimbatus, Pipistrellus khulii, Myotys daubentoni, e per le specie floristiche Anacamptis pyramidalis, Cephalantera longifolia, Ophrys fuciflora, Orchis morio, Hyssopus officinalis.
Il Bosco della Fornace rappresenta un relitto di foresta planiziaria dominato da varie specie di querce (Q. pubescens, Q. petrae, Q. cerris) a cui si associano in varia misura Ontano bianco (Alnus incana), Carpino nero (Ostrya carpinifolia) Castagno (Castanea sativa), Frassino (Fraxinus excelsior), Orniello (F. ornus), Acero campestre (Acer campestre) e varie specie di pioppo (P. alba, P. nigra, P. tremula). |
