Other Site Characteristics

Zona sub-montana e montana quasi interamente coperta di boschi di latifoglie, per lo più cedui mlti in conversione all'alto fusto, con rimboschimenti di conifere e castagneti, aree a vegetazione arbustiva di ricolonizzazione di ex-coltivi.

4.2 Quality and importance

All'interno dell'area si è ormai stabilizzato un popolamento importante di cervi giunto spontaneamente dalle foreste dell'Acquerino. Presenza del Lupo e popolazioni di Salamandrina dagli occhiali (Salamandrina terdigitata). Si segnala la presenza di Rhinolophus hipposideros.
