Other Site Characteristics

Pendici nord-orientali dei Monti Sibillini, nel tratto compreso fra la linea di cresta con il Monte Pizzo di Meta (m 1576) e la Punta del Ragnolo (m 1557) e il fondovalle, con le località S. Liberato (m 755), Terro (m 606) e Piobbico (m 730). L'area è parzialmente boscata con boschi cedui di orniello, carpino nero e roverella fino a 1000 m e di faggio a quote superiori. Presenza di rare specie endemiche.Orno-Ostryetum: 20%

Area di grande interesse perché rappresenta l'unica stazione sui Monti Sibillini di una specie endemica dell'Appennino centrale, a diffusione limitata a pochissime località.
