Other Site Characteristics

Area di natura calcareo dolomitica, a tratti ricoperta da depositi piroclastici, presenza di terrazzi originatisi per erosione marina. Pareti rocciose.

4.2 Quality and importance

Vegetazione rappresentata da diversi stadi della serie del Leccio,fino alla Lecceta. Significativa presenza di piante endemiche ad areale puntiforme. Macchia a mirto e lentisco. Interessante zona di avifauna migratoria e stanziale (Falco peregrinus e Sylvia undata). Ricca chirotterofauna.
