Massiccio appenninico di natura calcarea con ripidi versanti meridionali.

4.2 Quality and importance

Unica abetina ad Abies alba ben conservata della Campania, circondata da foreste di caducifoglie in discreto stato. Presenza di specie ornitiche nidificanti (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax e Milvus migrans, del lupo e di una interessante chirotterofauna ed entomofauna.
