L'area della salina ospita alcune vecchie costruzioni un tempo adibite a deposito del sale. Il paesaggio costiero è dominato da una torre cinquecentesca a pianta quadrata.

La vegetazione alofila e le dune sono di grande valore vegetazionale. Il sito comprende, inoltre, anche lembi di macchia mediterranea e un boschetto di lecci. Vi è la presenza di Garighe di Euphorbia spinosa con percentuale 1 di copertura e valutazioni rispettivamente: A, A, C, A.
