I campi dunali a nord e a sud del sito comprendono aspetti vegetazionali tipici delle spiagge e delle depressioni retrodunali. Alta potenzialità protezionistica del promontorio che separa campi dunali a nord e a sud ad alto rischio di degradazione.

4.2 Quality and importance

Notevole biodiversità del sito per gli ambienti costieri e terrestri. Aspetti vegetazionali tipici di ambienti sabbiosi e rupicoli. Presenza di specie endemiche e di specie ad alto interesse fitogeografico quali la quercia di Palestina (Quercus calliprinos). Costituisce l'habitat ideale per uccelli quali il falco pellegrino e il marangone dal ciuffo. Colonizzazione dell'area da parte di alcuni esemplari di cervo sardo.
