1.1 SituationLe site comprend l'ancienne ardoisière à l'Est de Perlé et les forêts limitrophes.1.2 Milieu physiqueLe substrat géologique est formé par des faciès locaux de phyllades très fissiles (ardoises).Les sols limono-caillouteux à charge schisto-phylladeuse, non gleyifiés couvrent l'ensemble de la zone.1.3 Occupation du solLa carrière abandonnée occupe environ 0,8 ha. La plus grande part de la surface du site est occupée par des forêts (91%) majoritairement feuillues (à 71%).Les territoires agricoles couvrent seulement 2% du site. |
4.2 Quality and importance
Intérêts selon la directive "Habitats"Le site abrite une belle hêtraie du Luzulo-Fagetum.L'intérêt principal du site est la présence de trois espèces de chauve-souris de l'annexe II. C'est un site d'hibernation, un gîte d'étape et d'accouplement très important pour plusieurs espèces de chauve-souris dont trois figurent dans l'annexe II. Pour l'une d'entre elle, Myotis emarginatus, il s'agit du plus important site d'hibernation connu pour cette espèce dans le pays.Le site fait partie des cinq sites proposés comme réserve chiroptèrologique pour la conservation d'espèces de chiroptères de l'annexe II de la directive 'Habitats' définis dans le cadre du programme CEE de l'APTCS (Association pour la protection transfrontalière des chauves-souris). |

Principes de gestionUn programme de gestion spécifique doit être établi en fonction des populations de chauves-souris présentes sur le site.Ce programme ne peut être établi après une étude approfondie du site.La hêtraie du Luzulo-Fagetum, témoin important de ce type de forêt jadis très répandus dans la région, devrait être gérée selon les principes d’une sylviculture proche de la nature. |
