1.1 SituationLe site est partagé en deux sous-zones. L'une d'entre elles se trouve aux abords de l'aire de service près de Capellen en direction d'Arlon, tandis que l'autre sous-zone correspond à une prairie de fauche aux abords d'une chênaie près du lieu-dit 'Schiltzenheck'.1.2 Milieu physiqueLe substrat géologique du site est formé par des marnes et calcaires de Strassen du Sinémurien inférieur.1.3 Occupation du solLe site est occupé par des terres agricoles exploitées comme prairies permanentes.

Intérêts selon la directive "Habitats"L'intérêt principal de la zone est la présence de prairies à molinie dont l'une d'entre elles correspond à un très beau témoin de ce type de végétation. Prés de l'aire de service la prairie à molinie est entourée d'une très belle prairie maigre de fauche.
