Other Site Characteristics

Site includes Rika River and spruce and white alder forests along the river and sandstone outcrops of Ogre formation.

Main qualifying features are Siliceous rocky slopes with chasmophytic vegetation (8220), Western taiga (9010*) and Alluvial forests with Alnus glutinosa and Fraxinus excelsior (Alno-Padion, Alnio incanae, Salicion albae) (91E0*).
