Other Site Characteristics

Zonă umedă în zonă colinară din județul Suceava. Lacurile se află pe valea șomuzului Mare (afluent al Siretului) cele din aval fiind în imediata apropiere de orașul Fălticeni.;

4.2 Quality and importance

Este printre puținele situri desemnate pentru Emys orbicularis. Această specie și-a redus mult arealul de răspândire în ultimele decenii, din acest motiv considerăm a fi important desemnarea acestui sit. De importanță ridicată pentru Lutra lutra și pentru speciile de amfibieni Bombina și Triturus.;
