Lande, tufărișuri, maquis și garigue, phrygana 5% Pajiști uscate, stepe 75% Păduri de monocultură (plopi sau arbori exotici) 20%;

4.2 Quality and importance

Acest sit cuprinde toate pajiștile stepice subpanonice rămase nedegradate din partea central-sudică a Câmpiei Transilvaniei, cu specii extrem de rare precum Nepeta ucranica (cel mai mare număr de populații al acestei specii pe un areal redus, 5, se află aici - taxonul în UE se mai află doar în Moldova și Bulgaria și e reprezentat doar prin populații foarte mici), Goniolimon tataricum, Centaurea trinervia, Astragalus dasyanthus, Hesperis tristis, Iris pontica, specia cu totul aparte de stepă rece Krascheninnikovia ceratoides (2 populații), etc. Situl nu a fost creat compact, pentru că nu este utilă includerea grosieră a tuturor terenurilor agricole și construite dintre segmente. În același timp, acestea fiind similare din punct de vedere ecologic vor putea fi administrate și monitorizate eficient și unitar în viitor, mult mai bine decât dacă s-ar fi creat câte un sit separat pentru fiecare segment. În viitor managerii sitului vor trebui totuși să studieze posibilitatea creerii de coridoare ecologice sau situri „stepping stones" între segmente. ;
