Other Site Characteristics

Situl este foarte important pentru Marsilea quadrifolia. Aici se găsește unul dintre cele mai mari populații din țară. Este unul dintre acele zone care au fost foarte puțin afectate de desecări și canalizări. Foarte important și din punct de vedere al Misgurnus fossilis și Emys orbicularis. Aici se găsește și specia Carassius carassius, specie prezentă în Cartea Roșie a Vertebratelor din România fiind amintită ca o specie periclitată. Pe lângă aceste specii trebuie să amintim și specia Tinca tinca, populația căreia în ultimele decenii arată o scădere drastică.În zona desemnată specia amintită are o populație stabilă. Este unul dintre putinele situri desemnate pentru habitatul 1530 (Pannonic salt steppes and salt marshes), în regiunea pannonica. ;
