Zona umeda pe cursul râului Mure (jud. Mure) în regiunea biogeografica Continentala.;

4.2 Quality and importance

Este printre puinele situri desemnate pentru Emys orbicularis. De importana ridicata i pentru speciile de amfibieni Bombina bombina, Bombina variegata, Triturus cristatus i subspecia indigena Triturus vulgaris ampelensis. Foarte important pentru conservarea speciei Zingel streber. În Râul Mure se gasete una dintre cele mai stabile populaii ale speciei.;
