Areal situat pe dealurile înalte ale Lipovei, la limita bazinelor hidrografic Mure i Bega, caracterizat de vegetaie mixta ( foiase , conifere ) ;

4.2 Quality and importance

Prioritate nr. 2 din cele 68 de situri propuse de Grupul Milvus. C1 – specii de interes conservativ global – 1 specie: cristelul de câmp (Crex crex); C6 – populaii importante din specii ameninate la nivelul Uniunii Europene – 13 specii acvila ipatoare mica (Aquila pomarina), viespar (Pernis apivorus), barza neagra (Ciconia nigra), barza alba (Ciconia ciconia), caprimulg (Caprimulgus europaeus) ciocanitoare de stejar (Dendrocopos medius), erpar (Circaetus gallicus), acvila mica (Hieraaetus pennatus), ciocanitoare neagra (Dryocopus martius), ghionoaie sura (Picus canus), huhurez mare (Strix uralensis), sfrânciocul cu frunte neagra (Lanius minor) i silvie porumbaca (Sylvia nisoria). Zona deluroasa cu multe paduri compacte de foioase i zone deschise de o valoare rar întâlnita dealugul Mureului. Habitatele foarte diversificate care permit stabilirea unui numar mari de specii care sunt afectate de activitatea umana doar într-o foarte mica masura. În padurile din zona propusa cuibarete probabil cea mai mare populaie de ciocanitoare de stejar. Întâlnim efective importante la nivel naional din 4 specii de rapitoare, acest lucru fiind posibil din cauza condiiilor excelente de cuibarit (paduri batrâne) i de vânatoare. Cel mai important loc de hranire al rapitoarelor i al berzelor albe i negre este în lunca Mureului, pajitile de aici fiind indispensabile i populaiei de cristel de câmp. În zonele deschise cu pâlcuri de copaci i tufariuri gasim silvia porumbaca, caprimulgul i sfrânciocul cu fruntea neagra. ;
