- Group: A = Amphibians, B = Birds, F = Fish, I = Invertebrates, M = Mammals, P = Plants, R = Reptiles
- S: in case that the data on species are sensitive and therefore have to be blocked for any public access enter: yes
- NP: in case that a species is no longer present in the site enter: x (optional)
- Type: p = permanent, r = reproducing, c = concentration, w = wintering (for plant and non-migratory species use permanent)
- Unit: i = individuals, p = pairs or other units according to the Standard list of population units and codes in accordance with Article 12 and 17 reporting (see reference portal)
- Abundance categories (Cat.): C = common, R = rare, V = very rare, P = present - to fill if data are deficient (DD) or in addition to population size information
- Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation); VP = 'Very poor' (use this category only, if not even a rough estimation of the population size can be made, in this case the fields for population size can remain empty, but the field "Abundance categories" has to be filled in)

Other Site Characteristics
The lake Judarn is situated in a forested enclave quite central in Stockholm, surrounded by a garden suburb. The woodland consists mostly of coniferous woodland (pine-, spruce- and flat-rock pine forest. Smaller areas of broad-leafed deciduous- and mixed forest also exist. Adjacent to the lake grow wet broad-leafed deciduous forest with birch and alder and the bushes Myrica gale and Salix. The open grassland is mostly former arable land. |
4.2 Quality and importance
The Judarn area includes habitats that are very valuable for amphibians. There are good areas for fries here, as well as feeding grounds and places for wintering. All species that exist around Stockholm can be found here. The site is since long time ago known as a good habitat for Triturus cristatus, but the population has decreased. The site has botanical values, mostly in the different kinds of deciduous forests and parts of the spruce forest of bilberry-type. Goodyera repens grows in the elder spruce stands. The fish-fauna in the lake includes perch, roach, crucian and tench. Accipiter nisus, Strix aluco, Columba oenas and Luscinia luscinia breed in the dense forest around the lake. There are also systems of de Geer ridges in the area. The ridges are of considerable importance for the science of physical geography and are considered to be of national interest for nature conservation. |
