Other Site Characteristics
| On a small slope on gravel SV of Slaka south of the city of Linköping, is this rare site of a lime spring fen with a number of Orchid sp. Downstream the fen passes the water a bog woodland with Alnus glutinosa and Picea abies. |
4.2 Quality and importance
| There are not left many sites with spring water rich of lime in Östergötland. Most of the sites are located in the so-called lime triangule in the big arable land west of Linköping and further west to Lake Vättern. This site is located outside of this area. Torrberga have a lot of the species that is found in a lime-fen. The landmollusc fauna could be interesting in this site. |
