Other Site Characteristics
The site Fagerhult, in the southern county of Ydre, is an opening in the forest landscape with meadows, arable land and pastures. The site is located on the top of a hill, which is a typical location of the farmer's buildings and arable land in this parts of Östergötland. There are big areas of meadows at Fagerhult, today managed by small hay cutting machines, but also with the old tools of haymaking. There are also big areas of pastures. The meadows and the pastures are rich in herbs and grasses and rare species of fungi is also found in this area. |
