Vissberga lertag consists of an old water-filled clay-pit surrounded by shrubs and reed, in an otherwise open and rationally tended cultural landscape. In and around the shallow and nitrogen-rich waters there is a rich fauna and flora, with for example Triturus cristatus. Among the birds that nests or has been seen in the area are several rare species.
