Other Site Characteristics

In englishLarge shallow bay and surrounding water. The sea is separated from the inner bay by a shoal of sand. The coastal grasslands are being grazed.

4.2 Quality and importance

In englishThe main objective is to preserve the important water and land environments and to provide favourable conditions for plant and animal communities characteristic for those habitats. Species listed in the Bird Directive and in the Habitat Directive shall be protected and kept in vital populations. Coastal grasslands are kept in grazed condition. Large shallow bay which is an important resting and breeding ground for Phoca vitulina and several bird species.
