Other Site Characteristics
| Silicate rich subsoil though the bedrock is an ordovician limestone. The site is a part of peninsula on the northernmost part of the island land. The eastern shingle coast is well exponated to the open Baltic sea, the western coast of the site has on the other hand a character of a shelving salt meadow. The forest in between has a long history as a wooded pasture although parts of the pine dominated forest have got high qualities as a natural forest, i.e. large amount of dead wood. |
