Other Site Characteristics
| The site is located on the eastern coast of land. The bedrock is a gently sloping ordovician limestone covered by a often thin morain layer rich in clay. The shoreline is often undualting due to drifting sand banks.
Several stone walls are dividing the otherwise open pastures. |
4.2 Quality and importance
| Shallow brackish habitats and open or semi-open pastures located by the eastern shoreline of land. A long continuity of grazing have created a species-rich flora and good breeding conditions for several wading bird species etc. Important also for resting migratory birds. |
