Other Site Characteristics

En mineralfattig sjö i Helgeåns vattensystem.Området går genom två biogeografiska regioner. EU-kommissionen tog beslut om den kontinentala delen 200412 och den boreala delen 200501.

Både botaniskt och ornitologiskt värdefull sjö. Runt sjön finns många sommarstugor, och det är ett populärt område för fiske och ekoturism, till exempel kanotpaddling. En del viktiga kulturlämningar finns i området.
