Other Site Characteristics

Nemoral forest on nutrient rich soils in northern hill slopes. Major forest types are beach forest of tall herb type and of low herb type, open pasture and grazed wooded pastures with old trees of oak, alder ash forests and eutrophic elm-ash forests. Mineral rich springs and small brooks constitute important habitats as well.

4.2 Quality and importance

In the major forest types 15 red listed species have been found of different organisms groups such as insects, birds, macro fungi, lichens and mosses. The area is important for these forest types and organisms in the region.
