Other Site Characteristics

The site is characterized of large mires, primarily open or wooded bogs, and old coniferous forest.

4.2 Quality and importance

One of the three separated bogs in the site is the most southerly one-sided sloping bog in the county (and probably in Sweden). The two other bogs are plane and forested. The site is important to migratory and breeding birds. The eastern part of the site is slightly affected by forestry.
