  • NP: in case that a habitat type no longer exists in the site enter: x (optional)
  • Cover: decimal values can be entered
  • Caves: for habitat types 8310, 8330 (caves) enter the number of caves if estimated surface is not available.
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation)

  • Abundance categories (Cat.): C = common, R = rare, V = very rare, P = present - to fill if data are deficient (DD) or in addition to population size information
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation); VP = 'Very poor' (use this category only, if not even a rough estimation of the population size can be made, in this case the fields for population size can remain empty, but the field "Abundance categories" has to be filled in)

Other Site Characteristics

This site is a small mounting, 640 meter high, covered with old natural forest. The site is varying with regards on forest type and includes also some small dystrophic lakes, mires and brooks. Most of the area is dominated of pine forest marked by fires but around the small brooks and on the eastern part of the slope of the mountain spruce dominates.

4.2 Quality and importance

The site consists of a large connected area with old growth. The forest is rich of valuable structure connected to a natural forest as large pine standard often with traces of former forest fires, old windthrows, dead trees and high stumps. A high number of threatened species of national interest is found in the area. The area is also an important site for bird that is dependent of large old growth.

No

6.3 Conservation measures (optional)

The aim of the management will be to favour flora and fauna dependent on old growth with trees of different age and a high amount of dying and dead trees. Most parts of the area is intended to free development but some parts have to be burnt in order to maintain pine as the dominating tree and to favour fire-dependent species.
