4.2 Quality and importance

Ändsjöns Nature Reserve. The bird-rich lake on FrösönÄndsjön is the only lake on Frösön and a popular destination for school picnics and bird-watchers. In the surrounding areas of the lake there are also wetlands, where you can see interesting plants, such as many types of orchids.Still its the rich bird life which is the reason for the many visits to Ändsjön.Living nearby you can hardly avoid hearing and watching the large colony of black-headed gulls that live here. Even though the black-headed gull is themost frequently heard in the area, there are in fact approximately 90 other different species of birds breeding here. There is a system of paths within the reserve.
