4.2 Quality and importance

Tännforsens Nature Reserve. One of Swedens most well-known waterfalls. Tännforsen is one of the countrys most well-known waterfalls. It is also perhaps the first nature sight in Jämtland to become a tourist attraction - partially at least be-cause of its easy access. Have you ever seen a frozen waterfall If not, we recommend that you visit Tännforsen during wintertime. The paths are cleared, so that you can reach the falls without trudging through too much snow. A winter waterfall is a beautiful sight to behold! Due to the mist from the falls, there is a most interesting lichen and moss flora on the constantly-damp rocks and trees.
