Other Site Characteristics

The object is situated on a long ridge. The forest constitutes of pine forest of two different generations. At the edges there is a recruitment of spruce. At this site you can find really old windthrows and moderate quantities of standing dead trees. The forest has arised after forest fire. There has not been any inventory in the area concerning species.

4.2 Quality and importance

The forest has a good structure and has excellent prospects for the future. Oldgrowth western taiga is sparse in the region. It is necessary ti include even small areas to be able to make up a covering network of western taiga.
